Eureka!

What is Eureka?

It's a treasure trove of RVing ideas: hints, tips, information, projects... all written in a friendly, conversational style and illustrated with hundreds of clear photos and drawings. Whether you're a vacationer, an experienced fulltimer or a "wannabe" who's thinking about dipping your toe in the water, Eureka has something for you: bright ideas that can make your RVing life more enjoyable while saving you money. About the only thing I don't cover is where to go—that's up to you.

Eureka used to cost money. Why is it free now?

I first published Eureka four years ago. Since then, it's been downloaded by hundreds of RVers at twelve bucks a pop, and it's gotten great reviews. But I always wanted to make Eureka more widely available. For example, the old downloadable version couldn't be installed on iPads, iPhones, or other phones and tablets. And once a person downloaded a copy, there was no way of updating it. Since I'm always working on Eureka, adding tips and bringing articles up to date, this bothered me.

So I decided to make Eureka a free, web-based information source that the whole world can benefit from: Eureka Live. The only drawback is that an internet connection is required. But that's much more common nowadays than it was four years ago, so I don't see it as a big drawback. The advantage is that Eureka Live can be read on any device that has a good web browser... and whenever you come here, you'll always get the latest information (or at least the latest that I've had time to put online).

'Nuff said. Click this link to start reading Eureka Live, and I hope you enjoy it. Happy trails!

—Andy Baird

P.S.—I really appreciate all the people who have paid for Eureka over the years. As a token of thanks, I've refunded the payments for all copies of Eureka purchased in the last 30 days (as of 4/8/2012), so people won't feel as if they just paid for it and now everyone else is getting it for free. Many thanks for your support, folks!
