Comments: This is New Mexico's highest and coolest park. Because it's only a few miles from Santa Fe, the park tends to fill up quickly on weekends and holidays. It's heavily wooded, so it can feel gloomy, and there's annoying traffic noise from NM 475, which runs right next to the campground. There's no Verizon cell phone signal, and satellite reception is blocked by the trees. NOTE: Not recommended for RVs over 32', due to one-lane dirt road and small, unlevel campsites. Also, every time I've been there in recent years, the dump station has been closed.
